SWTW Is Going Green!
Join Us on the Greens on Sunday, June 9th for the second annual Corporate Supporters’ Golf Tournament.
Corporate Supporters are the backbone of our social and networking programs at SWTW, so we’re always looking for ways to provide visibility for your company and to bring you together with your customers and client. So again this year we will be organizing the SWTW Golf Tournament, on Sunday, June 9th, designed for SWTW Corporate Supporters and their guests.
All levels of Corporate Support, Silver through Platinum, include this great opportunity for some quality, one-on-one time with your most valued customers. This is a great way to start off the workshop and is sure to get your customers excited as well.
Because of overwhelming requests, we are opening up this year’s Golf Tournament to all SWTW Exhibitors, as well as Corporate Supporters, and we expect to have close to 80 players. Corporate Supporters have one four person team and golf carts are included in their corporate support fee. Corporate Supporters can organize a second team of four for $500.00, which includes golf carts. Exhibiting companies can organize one foursome each for $500.00, including golf carts.
We've also added to our on-course contests this year, including two Closest to the Pin Contests at Hole #2 & #11, two Longest Drive contests at Hole #8 & #14, and one Straightest Drive contest at Hole #16. And, we are excited to announce that we’ll have a PGA ex-Pro, Eddie Ambrose, out on the course for a contest of "Beat the Pro" this year. Our ex-Pro will be at Hole #8 ready for you to play his bet - bet the Pro $10.00 that you can drive the ball farther than him. Those who hit farther will have their names put into a raffle which will be drawn at the Sunday evening Welcome Dinner. 50% of the pot will go to the winner, and the other 50% will be donated to the IEEE William Mann Scholarship Fund. Those of you who knew Bill Mann, will know that Bill liked games. And, you may have heard his favorite George Bernard Shaw quote: "You don't stop playing because you get old. You get old because you stop playing." So, bring your 10 bucks and see if you can "Beat the Pro" for a chance to win hundreds of dollars, and contribute to the scholarship fund in memory of Bill Mann.
Corporate Supporters can sponsor a hole contest for a $200.00 fee, which includes a table, chairs, umbrella, cooler and ice. If you would like to sponsor one of the contest holes for 2013, please contact Caroline Ambrose for details.
The results of the golf tournament will be announced at the Sunday evening dinner, where all corporate supporters and tournament players will have reserved seating.
The tournament time is at: 8:00 AM for a Scramble, Reverse Shotgun Format.
What’s a Scramble you ask? A scramble format is where each member of the golf group (4 players) hits their Tee shot, and then they select the best drive out of the 4, and they all hit from that spot. Then they select the best shot out of the 4, and hit from that spot on through till they finish the hole.
What’s a Reverse Shotgun you ask? A Reverse Shotgun has 2 groups of 4 players on hole #1, and 2 groups of four players on hole #18, and 2 groups of four players on hole #17 and so on until all teams are positioned and each team will start on their respective hole and play through the course.
The RBI Golf Club opens at 6:00 a.m. to facilitate warm up before the 8:00 a.m. tee off. The RBI Golf Club will provide shuttles to take you back and forth to the driving range.
Each team of four will have golf carts included. Golf clubs can be rented through the RBI Golf Club for $50.00 per day.
