11th Annual Golf Tournament

SWTest is Still Going Green in 2022!

Join Us on the Greens on Sunday, June 5th for the 11th annual SWTest Golf Tournament.

Corporate Sponsors are the backbone of our social and networking programs at SWTest, so we’re always looking for ways to provide visibility for your company and to bring you together with your customers and clients.  Again this year we will be organizing the SWTest Golf Tournament, on Sunday, June 5th, 2022, designed for SWTest Corporate Sponsors, Exhibitors, and their invited guests.

All levels of Corporate Sponsorship, Silver through Platinum, include this great opportunity for some quality, one-on-one time with your most valued customers. So, invite your customers for this fun day of golf.  It’s a great way to start off the conference and is sure to get your customers excited as well.

We have opened the Golf Tournament up to all SWTest Exhibitors, as well as Corporate Sponsors. As a result, we have had almost 100 players in the past couple years, and expect at least that many this year. Corporate Sponsors get one complimentary four-person team, with golf carts, included in their corporate sponsor benefits (a $700 value). Corporate Sponsors can organize a second team of four players for $700.00, which also includes golf carts.  And exhibiting companies can organize one foursome each for $700.00, including golf carts.

Back by popular demand, we will have a PGA Pro out on the course again for the 7th annual contest of “Beat the Pro.” Our Pro will be at Hole #8 ready for you to play his bet – bet the Pro $10.00 that you can drive the ball farther than him. Those who “Beat the Pro” will have their names put into a raffle which will be drawn at the Tuesday evening Social.  The winner of the drawing will receive 50% of the “Beat the Pro” contest pot, and the other 50% will be donated to the SWTest William Mann Student Scholarship Fund. Participants in 2021 helped us raise $580 during the contest. Those of you who knew Bill Mann will know that Bill liked games. And, you may have heard his favorite George Bernard Shaw quote: “You don’t stop playing because you get old. You get old because you stop playing.” So, bring your 10 bucks and see if you can “Beat the Pro” for a chance to win hundreds of dollars, and contribute to the student scholarship fund in memory of SWTest’s founder, Bill Mann.

The “Beat the Pro” hole will be a Pay-to-Play hole. You must pay the $10 to play this hole – it’s for a good cause!

Corporate Sponsors can sponsor a hole contest for a $325.00 fee (not including your prize for the winner), which includes a table, chairs, umbrella, cooler, and ice. Contest holes are limited to three in each category; Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Putt. Hole contest prizes should be around $50 in value. If you would like to sponsor one of the contest holes, please contact Tracy Woodger-Broz as soon as possible for details (tracy@cemamerica.com).

The results of the golf tournament will be announced at the Tuesday evening Dinner & Social, where all corporate sponsors and tournament players will have reserved seating.

The tournament time is at: 1:00 p.m. Sunday, for a Scramble, Reverse Shotgun Format.

What’s a Scramble you ask? A scramble format is where each member of the golf group (4 players) hits their Tee shot, and then they select the best drive out of the 4, and they all hit from that spot. Then they select the best shot out of the 4, and hit from that spot on through till they finish the hole.

What’s a Reverse Shotgun you ask? A Reverse Shotgun has 2 groups of 4 players on hole #1, and 2 groups of four players on hole #18, and 2 groups of four players on hole #17 and so on until all teams are positioned and each team will start on their respective hole and play through the course.

The Omni La Costa Golf Club opens at 6:00 a.m. to facilitate warm up before the 1:00 p.m. tee off.

Registration at the Pro Shop patio will open at 12:00 p.m. with a box lunch available at that time. Tee off is at 1:00 p.m.

Each team of four will have golf carts included. TaylorMade golf clubs can be rented through the Omni Resort Golf Club for $65.00 per day. See Golf Club Rental form below.
